Yes — Melissa is the home base. No travel fees anywhere inside the city.
Where is a good spot for family photos in Melissa?
For outdoor sessions, the community parks work well, and Erwin Park just south in McKinney adds wooded options. For toddler sessions I strongly recommend in-home.
How far in advance should I book?
Most Melissa sessions are family or first-year shoots — two to six weeks is typical. For weddings, book six to twelve months out. For private events, one to three months.
Do you work with new parents who aren't sure what they need?
Yes — most Melissa families start with a quick call. I'll walk you through the options and tell you honestly what makes sense for where you are in the chapter.
When should I book?

No. I shoot lifestyle newborn sessions — natural light, your home, real moments. No beanbag poses or elaborate setups.
Can siblings and parents be in the photos?
Yes — family and sibling shots are included in every newborn session. Toddler siblings go first while their patience is fresh.
How long does the session take?
60 to 90 minutes, with breaks for feeding and soothing built in. No rush.
What if baby comes early or late?
No problem. Your date is flexible. We reschedule around baby's actual arrival at no extra cost.
